I am moving tomorrow (Tuesday, March 15th) and frankly, I’m very excited. As you know, Caroline, Kelly, Brian and I are moving to Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks. We have a 1-year lease and the house (I’m told) is great. So what’s not to love?
This weekend was spent filling boxes, clearing bars, moving arcade games, cleaning glass and looking at furniture in Silver Lake. Caroline assures me that there is an “artsy” district in the Valley, but I’m sure it exists. So we will see. This was the first time I visited Silver Lake and the shops, people and area remind me of Berkley during my early 20′s. Is that a good thing?
So tonight we pack the u-haul and drive it to the Valley. Tomorrow morning we have a walk-through with the landlord, and start moving crap into the house. Should be a lot of fun. If you’d like to help, please stop by. It’s going to be a long day.

Hope you have a good lock for that U-haul. It also helps if you back it up against a wall so no one can get into the back.

Although, I that is pretty much out of my price range. I’ve been looking around the internet, and I think I should be able to get a sofa, chair and ottoman for right around $2,000 in the style I’m looking for.
