Gonna Take you Higher

I had my performance review, and none of the ladies complained (drum, drum, cymbal!!!). But seriously folks, I had a review and it was an ok year at the office. They gave me a three percent raise effective March 1st. That will kick in a few dollars toward…our new house.

We finally decided on a location to live. Sherman Oaks, CA. I’m sure it’s going to be a great two years. Feel free to stop by during the summer and soak up the warm LA air. We signed a one-year lease with a one-year option. So, if we like it (and the landlord likes us) we can stay at the same price. Looks like I will be riding Metro starting April 1st. I’m going to get a monthly pass. Check me out, second form of picture ID and everything. What’s next? A passport?

No Passport, I can’t afford to travel anyway. Not till that three percent kicks in.

  1. Sherman Oaks is a nice place. Congrats on the house. Good for you riding the Metro, way to be environmentally friendly = )

  2. I was looking at my passport yesterday and it expires in 11 months. Those things last ten years. I’ve only used it twice. I’m a loser.

  3. Wait a minute, I think you misunderstood. Your merit increase was approved at 0.03%, not 3%. Sorry for the confusion. We appreciate the work that you do around here and we’ll meet again in a year for your next review.

  4. Thought Id actually chime in and say congrats on the new pad. You should be quite happy in Sherman Oaks. I just got a passport and actually used it in England and Scotland. Why do photo Ids make us look so depressed?
