So the election is concluded, the challenger has conceded, the winner is celebrated, and 49% of the voting population is concerned. So what do the next four years hold for the United States? What do you have to look forward too? What do you have to dread? More deaths in Iraq, more excuses to whittle away at our personal freedoms, our privacy. Decisions made by God. Where did the religious right come from? They didnt show up on many polls. People voted based on religion rather than intellect (of course thats an opinion and Im sure they say the same about me). But how moral is war? New York is attacked and America strikes back, that is moral? America bombs the desert and kills people based on their geographical living location in the world, and that is moral? Key governmental positions are run by people who profit off the war, only concerned about making money, is that moral? Of course moral is a state of mind. Its something you call upon when you need it. I wonder if the war in Iraq will still be a moral war after America runs out volunteers and starts sending your children, grandchildren, brothers, nephews, and friends. At least, after the war is done, the money is counted and people return, at least then we can look forward to some great Iraqi war movies. Otherwise, whats the point?
From Above:
So that would be March 2005 for the NIN release; wow, can’t wait.
My sentiments exactly…
