You can spend a ton of time with the side games. Furnishing your Crib, scheduling your teams weekly workouts, making trades, watching the salary cap, keeping up with league news, and updating your roster online are all options prior to playing a weekly football game. In addition, the actual game day game play blurs the line of reality. The graphics are great and the addition of the ESPN onscreen graphics and voice over as well as the half time and post game show make you want to watch the complete game without button mashing through to the next play. You can even get updated on other teams by watching this weekç´ version of Sports Center (game addition).
But the real killer, the thing that puts this game over the top, is the price. $19.99 (found for $14.99 at Fry’s Electronics). You can get all this for twenty bucks. That’s $30 less than Madden 2005. If you love football video games, this one will be your new favorite.
