WOW! what a great weekend. The weather was great. 80 degrees and breezy. The fire department stopped by our house on Thursday. I still am not 100% sure why.
Caroline, Kelly, Brian and I had dinner at Daltz in Burbank on Friday night. Then went to the Burbank Holiday Inn for some karaoke.
>>SIDE NOTE<< There are some people who live Karaoke, not love it, but live it. They bring their own CD’s with music and lyrics and onscreen images. It reminds me of the movie I never saw, Duets. I’m going to Netflix it and check it out. >>END SIDE NOTE<<
Last week, as Caroline drove away, I could hear that her car was not sounding well. I asked her about it and she decided she needed an oil change. So that’s what we did Sat. There is this place in Burbank about the size of a vending machine and this mom and pop team change your oil. Pretty cool. I would like to have a little business like that someday. So the guy tells us that the front passenger tire is totally warped and the steel belt is showing. So we went to find a new tire for her car. After that extravaganza, I went to pick up some tables for next weekends poker game. Then Caroline and I went to San Gabriel for some cafe dinner.
>>SIDE NOTE<< Boba Tea is named after the look of bubbles in the drink. the balls appear as bubbles, a slang term is Boba. Thus giving you Boba or Bubble Tea. It began in 1983 in Taiwan. I predict is will be sold at Starbucks by the end of this year (2004). >>END SIDE NOTE<<
Caroline and I had a lot of quality discussion this weekend. They were all good discussion.
Is Caroline your girlfriend because if she is not can I ask her out? Would that be cool with you?
No, you can’t ask her out. I won’t take that chance. I like her too much.
But you can move in with me and my roommate…would you happen to be studying to be a chef?? If so then you have to pretend to be gay so our landlord Mr. Roper will approve.
Whoo took the pck of the firetruck?
Toby took the picture of the firetruck.
I have to clear something about the meaning of boba. Boba actually means master of ball. Bo is ball or spherical objects in chinese (it pronouce just like ball). Ba is master. Bo is used to refer women’s breast becase it’s kinda spherical. Boba actually was used to refer busty woman. It’s rare for Chinese females to have big boobs so when they do, they are referred as boba, master of boobs. Why they use it to describe the tea is something I am not sure.
