On my way home last night, I got hungry. I’ve been watching what I eat for the past two-weeks. It’s been going pretty well. So I was hungry and looking forward to making my newest creation, tortilla and egg omelets. However, I was out of egg, so I stopped at the store.
While there, I saw a bag in the salad section, BIG BAG OF GREENS – cooks like cabbage. I’ve never had GREENS before, so I figured I’d give’em a try. Grabbed the GREENS, a pack of eggs, and six more Diet Pepsi’s (all winners), and headed home.
Steamed the GREENS, cooked the eggs and was ready to eat. I have come to the following conclusion: healthy food only taste good when you make it unhealthy. GREENS taste like a mix of mustard and vinegar. It was weird. However, if you fry them in some bacon fat or butter, I bet they would taste amazing. In a raw form, not so great. So I’ve decided to stick to spinach as my green of choice.
Later that night, Eugene was interviewing people to repopulate 81st street. He may have found a candidate for my room. So let the great Montez fire sale commence. I have a few things to unload before I move. We also have to call Nick (raciest landlord manger) and let then know we are leaving, but without a real concert timeframe.
And finally, I added a custom icon to my web site. If you take a look at the address bar, you should see an icon, it’s a picture of me. Least you forget who writes this crap every day.
What’s a tortilla omelet? Is it kind of like a breakfast burrito? Remember, anything tastes good if it is deep-fried, covered in teriaki sauce, or covered with melted cheese.
Since you mentioned it, how does the moving out thing work? It sounds like when Eugene interviews then the person chooses a room (and rent price). What if he doesn’t find anyone for your room?
Icon is cool.
you can cook greens in a healthy manner and still have them taste good. My roommate makes the best greens…we just had them with our bbq for the game.
