No Deal Howie

Tomorrow I will have an audition for TV’s hot new game show, Deal or No Deal. I have the application and an appointment for Sat at 11a. Now, this is just an audition, but I think I can make it (believe to receive) so I have been researching the “playing strategies” for this type of show.

You can find anything on the internet. Check out this guide to Deal or No Deal.

Also, I’m mounting a posse to take with me to the show (after I pass the audition of course), here’s the posse and why I would bring them.

  • Caroline – she hates gambling and hopefully when we get to higher amounts of money, she will tell me to cut loose and take the cash – TV loves that
  • Toby – talk about opposites, he loves gambling and if it came down to $.01 vs 1 million, Toby would say “wy not, I’ll keep my case”. The juxtaposition would be grand.
  • Jon – he is the perfect person to take on a show like this because he will know all the best playing strategies and would make a great consultant. When it starts to get hairy, Jon would give me the best possible, and most profitable route.

If I make the show, I would need additional people to come on the show with me. Would you like to come? Tell me why you would be a benefit. How can you help? I’ll let you know if I make it.

Maximum Extraction

I just played a $5 sit-n-go. During the game, I had a decent chip lead. At one point, I doubled up ALASKA37. I told him, in jest of course, that I was loaning them to him. Then, with four players left (one seat from the money) the following hand came down. I have added my thoughts throughout the hand. It’s not always about winning the hand, sometimes it’s about maximum extraction.

805 enter, 1 exits

At the last minute, I decided to play one of those $1+.10 tournments over at UltimateBet.com. These tournments are usually filled with people who just throw their chips around and you start to feel like your cards will get cracked no matter how NUTTY you start out. Any way, I played pretty well and afinished in decent position. Here is a screen shot that shows where montez75 finished. Not bad for a tournment that had 805 players.

I’m am now looking for a sponser.

Back on track

Hey party people. I started running again. I am also eating better (with help from Caroline). So far so good. On Friday, I ran a 5K in 46min. It felt great. I will maintain that pace for two weeks and then push it after that.

As you can see, I made some changes to the site. Tell a friend.

Heat Wave

Well, I started working out again. I’ve been hitting the gym. Yesterday, as I was walking to the gym I decided, “IT’S HOT”. Like 90′s here in the Valley. Um, it’s February, where’s the rain, the overcast, something. If it’s this hot now, what the hell am I going to do over the summer? It’ll be too hot to move. Time to go to the beach.

Anyway, I’m still tweaking my site. I need to make navigation a little more compelling.

I hate Internet Explorer

Well, I tweaked NIMH so it would work better in Internet Explorer (IE) Having said that, I hate working around IE’s limitations. Microsoft writes code in a way that leaves gaps and mis-alignments in the rendering (not to mention the security issues). As you may have noticed when using IE, the site had a large gap between the date and first entry.

Here is a suggestion to anybody still using IE, SWITCH TO FIREFOX and THUNDERBIRD. Firefox for surfing the web and Thunderbird to read email. Both are secure and both are open-source (any developer can aid in making the code better) and that makes for better features and better usability.

Anyway, if your still using IE, now you can see the goodness, enjoy.
